disappointing deer season---------so far

had all the plans made to deer hunt starting this past mon and don't you know i brake 2 bones in my right foot 10 days before its time to go. i don't who was more disappointed me or my son. if there is such a thing as bonding this is the time when he and i really get it together. oh well its not the end of the world, hope to make the late season m/l hunt at the end of the month. whats really bad is the chip off the old block calls the block every day to give me hunting report( nice kid that boy of mine) hope you all have great hunts and keep your powder dry.

My wife went hunting with me one year with her leg in a cast (motorcycle accident - her own bike). We ended up with two deer down simultaneously. With guns, and crutches, and several fences and a stream to cross, with two deer . . . :shocking:

It was like that riddle with the boat, the fox, and the chickens all needing to get across the stream.

Hope your foot heals rapidly.

I,as a woman,have to stand up for some of us women that can keep up with the men. LOL i am not makin war with the men, but i have a story to tell ya. 2001 i was pregnant, 8 months at that. my husband and son kept tellin that i would not be able to go huntin with them because i was to big to fit in my huntin clothes. Well i showed them up. i went out with them found my place by myself and shot me a 8 pointer before they did. i laughed so hard i nearly peed my pants. That was first week of dec. and the baby came jan 2. 2002. so i think i did good that year.

if this makes anybody upset sorry i thought it was a good story to tell ya.
