BTW, I'll be "working" in the garage registering and watching over the accoutrement submissions. I'm the genuine fat guy with grey hair, beard and glasses. Accept no substitutes.

Going to make it for the first time this year. Sat and Sun. Last two years I wanted to make it got messed up.

My wife & I are going to be there Saturday. We'll be riding in on our Harleys if the weather allows.
I'm not hard to miss.....look for a guy with no hair on top & a long beard.

I'll be leaving, from 20 mi near the Canadian border, at 5 AM tomorrow, with another ML friend, for the trip to Dixon's! After last year's first time visit, I can't see a year go by without this pilgrimage. The eye candy, seminars and chance to talk ML'ing are just too much to pass by. See you all there! mjw

Not sure if the trip will be Friday or Saturday, since Sunday is a club shoot in Vernon NJ going after clay birds with my new used 10 gauge!

Bring money, the lemonade is 4 bucks a throw! But it tastes great: about two bucks an hour in drinks, if you're not too thirsty.

Also bring a change of shoes and socks if it rains, cause the place is set-up on a steep slope and rain runs right through the tents! I'm not complaining mind you, just wanted to prepare any first-timers for the rainy weather problem!

My son and I want to go cause we both shoot BP together!

I'll be the guy with a Leica rangefinder camera around his neck! Yes it uses film! If I shoot BP, then I figure film isn't so "out-of-style"! :haha:

:( Another Dixon's M/L faire falls into the history books. Had a great time and made a few new friends. Spent more than I should have, but when I check-out I won't need a poke full of money, Just a brain-pan full of memories and the trim'ins I bought will surely make more. Would've enjoyed to have met some of you fellow forum members ( I was the old guy with the cane and the purple heart (military) hat on my head ). Already looken forward to next years faire. I hope that all you longhunters had a safe journey there and back home. Hope to see you there next year.

Another Dixon's for the history books! As before, the wallet's empty, the goodies are yet to be sorted, the sights and sounds linger, and the digital photos beg to be drooled over in months to come. The usual late July Pennsylvania valley weather - humid, some rain/some sunshine prevailed, but in all in all, much better than some years. Rare opportunity to see, in person, the House Brothers 'American Tradition Kentucky Longrifle' and meet Frank House; chat with Don and John Getz, Fred Miller, John Proud, Allen Martin and so many other muzzleloading notables; to see, touch, and admire first quality accouterments, horns, and accessories; sit in on first quality seminars on many topics; and enjoy the wonderful Penn Dutch countryside, foods and hospitality. In short, we all who attended must agree, there's only One Dixon's!! I'm already planning on 2010!!

yep another year come n gone. Sure had fun like always n got to meet a few of the guys n put faces n names together. Wish more had stopped by the table n said hello but its understandable that they didn't with all to see n do at the faire. Several showed up at noon by the steps n introduced them selves n I recognise seeing several from their descriptions here on the site.As always it is an adventure at Dixon's, some of the guns n horns showed n judged just take your breath away with their craftsmenship n quality, just plain unbelieveable. If ya were there n saw a short fat guy with a brown tricorn behing a table near the steps leading to the shop, wellll that was me. Hope all had as good a time as me n maybe see ya all next year. If any of ya have pics n can, please post them. thanks all Birdman

Man, I really regret not being able to make it this year. Unfortunately, my medical condition kept me close to the house all weekend. Missed the Gunmaker's Fair, as well as Revolutionary War Days at the Clinton Mill.

Dad and myself both enjoyed the fair. I will definately make the next one. ( We were two of the people wearing bibs on Sat.) I loved seeing the forge in action as well as the rifling machine.

I also had a great time Saturday. Met up with Chuckpa and got to know Bob & Gerry Rubbo from the NMLRA, as well as some of the other NMLRA people. Good to talk to. Budget didn't allow any big purchases this year, but I got a few flints, a copy of "A Soldier-Like Way" from Tim Tressler of RE Davis, and some 16ga wads from Dixons. If I had a few thousand to throw around, I'd have come out with a whole lot more. It was also great to shoot the breeze with Allen Martin. I brought back the Bucks CO longrifle he made me, and he was glad to see it. Also met "Ned Proctor," who does an impression of a teamster hero at the Battle of Brandywine - really nice guy.

I'm sure I saw some of the other forum members there, but didn't recognize them. I was the guy in the black breeches and brown waistcoat with a short-barreled French/Wilson style trade gun in very curly maple. I'll try to post some of my pics soon...

Just out of curiosity guys, how many years has this event been going on? It sure sounds like one to try and get to.
