Look at the bore on the one I have, almost 200 years old and it still looks mint!

Here’s a scaled down version of a Ferguson ‘screw-breech’ inline flintlock rifle, this one in 45-caliber.

One rotation of the trigger guard drops down that finely tapered screw to load it.

Oopsie … the breech is inline, but the flint mechanism isn’t … sorry!
