Does anyone recoginize these maker marks on this lock?

I am trying to help a friend figure out who the maker of this lock was. Do these marks on the inside of the lock plate look familiar to anyone? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

polish it up and your friend won't find a much better lock.
I have 4 and 3 have the brass "coffin" pan, 1 has the steel pan.
the one i shoot most has about 500 shots on it with 0 klatches. it will spark with the most snaggle toothed flint.

No sir. Not mine. Asking for a friend. It is fitted with the wrong mainspring. He was trying to find out who the maker was so he could attempt to purchase the correct mainspring.

I was unable to find Haddaway parts in the mid-90s. Your best option might be to have a replacement spring custom-made.

Doc Haddaway passed away in the late 70s. There were people who offered to buy the business but the family shut it down instead. Used to shoot with his son or grandson. I don't remember which. He would sometimes donate one for a blanket shoot prize. They had locks left over but it was hard to get any of them.

I broke the mainspring on one of mine. I was able to find a replacement. give me a day or so to remember/look up where i found it. will get back to you with that info. my laptop is going blue screen about every 40 minutes so it may take me some time.

Trey, just what is wrong with the spring on the lock?
I went out and dug out the one I referred to, and realized i made the replacement.
the spring in the picture above looks like it fits well. if the problem is width it can be judiciously narrowed to fit.

I really don't know what's wrong with the spring, The lock doesn't belong to me and I am not in possession of it. Thanks for your response!
