No sir. Not mine. Asking for a friend. It is fitted with the wrong mainspring. He was trying to find out who the maker was so he could attempt to purchase the correct mainspring.Doc Haddaway. want to sell it?
Doc Haddaway passed away in the late 70s. There were people who offered to buy the business but the family shut it down instead. Used to shoot with his son or grandson. I don't remember which. He would sometimes donate one for a blanket shoot prize. They had locks left over but it was hard to get any of them.Is Doc Haddaway still around?
Trey, just what is wrong with the spring on the lock?No sir. Not mine. Asking for a friend. It is fitted with the wrong mainspring. He was trying to find out who the maker was so he could attempt to purchase the correct mainspring.
I really don't know what's wrong with the spring, The lock doesn't belong to me and I am not in possession of it. Thanks for your response!Trey, just what is wrong with the spring on the lock?
I went out and dug out the one I referred to, and realized i made the replacement.
the spring in the picture above looks like it fits well. if the problem is width it can be judiciously narrowed to fit.
best of luck no matter what.
