I picked up an old Richland Arms 1858 Remington and am curious about who actually made it.

It has Italian Proof marks but the only manufacturer's logo looks like double interlocking
diamonds followed by a six digit number (maybe serial number).

It also looks like it may have been made from a kit.

Any ideas?

I do know Pietta uses or used a diamond logo. Not sure about a double diamond may be a double strike. Perhaps someone else can help. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure it's not Pietta, as they have a single diamond usually with letters inside.

This is two diamonds that 'interlock' with no letters. I found an old post going into detail about logos and proof marks but it did not mention this particular one.

Thanks

Thanks much...are parts still available that will work in these guns?

I would like to replace the hammer, bolt, and hand if possible.
