WANTED Double-handled stoneware “canteen”

Do y’all have any makers you’d recommend who could make me something similar to the shape of one of these stoneware canteens?

I suggest you find someone in your area who does ceramics on a wheel. Not the mold kind where they make Santa Clauses etc.

Might look at Colonial Williamsburg or Williamsburg Pottery.

Townsends website indicates that the flask is made locally in Indiana. It wouldn't cost anything but time to contact them and ask if they would connect you with the potter for a custom piece that's essentially the same thing but sized up.

I have some flasks made by Michel Nicol that are great. French style. Sadly he is no longer with use, but I think others have continued his work.

I believe Fitz is correct. The last I spoke with Michel's daughter, she and her mother were going to continue the business. This was a few years ago but they were working with a young man so they could continue making more than just mugs and small items.
