yep, both barrels are rifled. i worked with this gun a couple months ago and the best i could do is about a 15" group using 80gr. of ffg. after looking at my patches i realized they were too thin. i switched to a thicker patch today and tried loads from 50-80grs, got the groups down to about 8-10" with 50-60grs. i felt the group needed to be tighter for hunting. i found some 1/8" leather spacers in my shooting box and figured i'd give them a try. finally at 60gr. using the leather spacers and thicker patches i got the group in the pic. the more powder i used the further left the right barrel hit. the spacer brought the right barrel right under the target, but just a little low. the left barrel didn't care what i shot, it always hit higher than the right barrel. the group is about 5.5" long by 3.5" wide. i figure to cover the target using the right barrel and take a fine bead with the left barrel. all these shots were at 50 yards. should be able to take a 75 yard shot without any problems. hope this helps anyone working with an express rifle.
