Double trigger repsir.

I got a custom flinter that I just can't get the set trigger to work. Not engaging. Out of my league. I'm in Georgia. Anyone know anybody that would not charge me a arm to check out and possibly repair? Thx.

Take the triggers out and make sure they work outside of the stock. Start there and when it is out make sure there is nothing in the inlet that is encroaching on the trigger set up. A photo of the trigger will help too.

You're not showing enough of the trigger. Do you have a spring tension screw? Backlash screw?

Here is a set that hasn’t been completed, the critical part is the tip of the rear trigger that I have blackened. It must be a clean corner to catch under the sharp edge of the front trigger. Yours look rounded and short.

If you send it out, it’s only fair to pay st least $30 an hour for skilled labor. Try carpenters, electricians, HVAC, car mechanics at that rate. And it might take 30 minutes or it might take 2 hours to fix it. Or you might be better off buying a new set. Many of these things need to be in hand to be assessed.

Back the screw between the triggers out. It is the engagement adjustment.

As Phil said the set trigger nose should be a sharp hardened point. Send your photos to Track of the Wolf. If Ethan recognizes your lock he may have a replacement trigger. Before you do that the contact surface the rounded nose intersects with needs to be examined. If that is eroded/worn etc, you have a double issue.

I'm looking at the wire spring that should be holding the front trigger lever down. If @skully913 pushes the front trigger forward, does the rear trigger lever engage under the catch of the front trigger? When we look at the triggers pictured by @Phil Coffins, the wire spring is forward of the front trigger stop to rotate the front trigger lever down and the trigger forward. Where does that wire spring fit with the levers?

Try backing out the adjustment screw between the triggers, if that doesn't help, back out the screw for the main spring. That screw will also effect the settings.

Also check to see if the wood in the in letting isn't binding up the trigger.
