Centennial. Barbara Carrera...Ohhhh.
Victoria Racimo in "The Mountain Men" was stunning in her role.

What? No one has listed Quigley Down Under with Tom Selleck? Along with a number of those others mentioned, I really enjoyed the shooting in this one.
I liked them both, the second was closer to the book and the location more like the real winding stair mountians. Both missed the humor that ran through the bookI liked the John Wayne version better. I have heard the remake was a little closer to the novel. Still, both were good movies.
For just pure entertainment purposes i like Silverado. Especially liked the scene where Jake (Costner) walked backwards and barefoot out a saloon corner door, made a sound to get noticed then shot two bad guys same time. Not the greatest acting in the world but fun to watch.I liked them both, the second was closer to the book and the location more like the real winding stair mountians. One of my all time favorites is Sgt. Alvin York. The turkey shoot scene is awesome.
I think that man in the wilderness was a much better story then revenantI haven’t seen anyone mention Man in the Wilderness. I believe Richard Harris playing the role of Hugh Glass character, but by a different name. Movies back then may not have been great at historical accuracy but they sure energized the passion for the front loaders. We won’t talk about the wobbly rubber tomahawks and such.
Try "Naked Prey" with Cornel Wilde. Makes Jeremiah Johnson seem like a Chatty Cathy movie .I think the period films come out in year cycles. My opinion it started with Drums along the Mohawk, Jeremiah Johnson in the 70's, I even liked Mountain Men with Charleston H. Then we saw Last of the mohicans with DD Lewis, The patriot which got dumped on but I liked, Black Robe. Any more I missed? I think we are due for another.
I agree with that. I was excited when I heard about the revenant, what a let down.I think that man in the wilderness was a much better story then revenant
Looks like you got a real collector's edition there!I thought the re-make was more realistic, but you can't beat True Grit with the Duke
