I'm coming up on one of the visitor days. Never been to a rondy before, anxious to check it out and see what it's all about.

Grits,
I used to live in Columbus, it's about a 12 hour drive if you drive like I do.
I think it's worth it, nice site on a lake, semi wooded.
If that is to much, Alafia is about 6-7 hour away.

I have been to a few small ones. The Northwestern was just 5 miles from my house so I went and visted it. Just like the other ones only bigger. I heard at Great Trail Festivial that the Eastern is going to be at same place in 08. Looking at the prices, looks like I will just vist it too. Dilly

Bev,

I'm a member of the Garden State BP Assoc. Paul and John are really doing a fine job at talking it up at our club shoots. I might get a chance to stop by and say hello. Just wanted to let you know that these two guys are fine examples of volunteerism here in NJ, and I'm glad that our club is doing the woods-walk.

May the event be blessed with good weather and a really fine turn-out!

All the best,

Dave (A.K.A. Rosey)

Paul comes to our local event, great guy to work with.
Some of you know Birdman, he will be running the long shot archery competition for us this year.

The Eastern in 08 will be in Ohio not at Muddy Run.

Glad some of you will be able to visit. Look me up-I'll be camped along the fence on the west side of the Sutler field. My husband will most likely have a table of his powder horns set up.

Off to the EPR in the morning. I'm ready for some smoke and shining times. Seeing some old friends and hopefully meeting some new ones. If any of you are going to be there snoop around for the Medicine Lodge , that's where Wild Eagle will be holed up, hope to see some of you there!!

I want to know where in Ohio next year's rondy will be too! It could be reasonably close to my stomping grounds.

The '08 Eastern will be at Snode's Farm. The address is Snode's Melon Farm. 6052 Arrow Road. Minerva, Ohio 44657. This is actually located a short way off of st rt 43 between Carrollton and Malvern, Ohio. Dave Guy will be the booshway. He can e reached at Link

:hatsoff:

Made my way up there Saturday, was pretty neat. Was very odd at first when you're not used to it, with everyone in period clothing and all, but saw lots of cool stuff, got some neat ideas, picked up a few things and spent the rest of the afternoon in the campground hanging out with the guys from the local BP club. If I can find time between all the hunting stuff I like to do I could see myself getting into that a bit. :hmm:

My son and I attended today. Beautiful weather, very friendly folks, and lots to look at. Bought a 30 grain antler tip powder measure and a couple copies of On The Trail magazine. The most unusual thing I saw was a lady on a three wheeled electric scooter that was covered in buckskin and had a set of antlers attached to the front basket!

Camped friday to monday, going back friday til sunday. The lady on the scooter was lucky , Sat morning I had 5 deer speed down the trail ten feet from my tent and then veer off thru camp. I expected to see some holes in some of the camper's tents , but did'nt hear of any accidents , except the small one on my chair when they sped past me :shocked2: I'm still trying to get the stain out of my buckskins :haha:
