Egg tanning a bear hide

I'm going to be going after some black bear here this week or so and I was wondering since I don't have time to really order the tanning solution, I was wondering if anyone has ever used eggs before on bear hides before, and if so, what was the solution? I see some mix with just water, others with olive oil.

Why not use the brain? Every animal has enough brain matter to tan it's own hide.

Bear hides are very greasy. I've done them using plain Ivory Snow soap in the past. I kind of suspect Dawn dish washing soap would do a pretty good job.

Incorrect. Two creatures without enough brain to tan their own hide, are elephants, and teenagers.
