Elderberries

Elderberries are ripe now. I saw a bush so loaded with them it would be a task to pick them all along my road. Anyone who hasnt tried elderberry wine is missing out. Might make alot of jelly too.

wish they grew around these parts.
'mountain bluberrys' do grow and I've heard this year is a good crop.

In holmes county they ripened a couple of weeks ago. The birds cleaned ours up while I was on a mission trip. But last year I picked and cleaned 8 quarts for my cousin who loves them. After I took them to him I found out they were bringing 8 dollars a pint at the local produce market and they could not get enough.
