This is an excellent example of the Plainsman rifles as modified by legendary riflesmith Cecil G. Brooks. As you may know, Brooks built the NRA presentation rifles from 1955 to 2005. Pedersoli recruited Brooks to come to Italy and help design their Plainsman rifles. The result was a sleek, midrange priced muzzleloader. Part of the deal with Pedersoli was that Brooks could bring back an unknown quantity of these rifles and rebarrel them. This is one of those. It has a 30.5" tapered octagon barrel in .36. Twist is 1:48". The barrel is in the white with C.G.BROOKS engraved in a box. Mounted in a typical Plainsman stock with brass fittings, double set triggers and a LOP of 14". An interesting piece of muzzleloading history. Rifle appears unfired. $600 + Shipping.
I also have its twin with a 35.5" barrel if you want a pair.
