Might be something to the photoshop comment beyond the bat after all...the coon on the hog's back does seem to be a bit of a stretch... :hmm:

Aaahhhhhhhhhhh...real hunting at it's best...an automatic feeder in a fenced area.

Guess with this set up, a shooter times his/her arrival 5 minutes after the timer sets off the feeder, pulls up, leaves the engine running, shoots a deer, drags it to the truck, etc.

But the photo of the coon on the hogs back is neat!

Two strands of barbed wire you could walk through doesn't seem like a "fenced area" to me, but ymmv.

It was mainly a tongue-in-cheek post...but setting aside the fence, you're OK with the automatic feeder?

I know western diamond back rattlers are out after dark, would think the eastern ones would be too.

Yep they are out at night. Out coon hunting back when I was young enough to do such. Crossing a kudzu patch about knee deep and that ol boy starts singing, makes you want to learn to fly! :rotf:

I bet the feeder attracts a lot of mice too, the snake may have caught on to this.

Eh, it's not the most challenging way to hunt, no question. But I've got no ethical problem with it. Probably 90% of hunters here in Texas hunt like that, or at least start off that way like I did. Now I've moved on to bow hunting and traditional black powder, still hunt or glass and stalk. But I'll say this, it's not easy trying to come to a full draw on a buck at 15 yds when he's surrounded by 7 or 8 does and they're all looking at you, feeder or not.
