This is the second of the rifles that I started many years ago and then stopped because of what I was learning here.  (Original story is here and I won't repeat it      http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/272622/).  As before, I had started several parts of this rifle long ago and am just trying to do the best I can with what I have.  The stock is fairly well shaped and most parts inletted.  Before I make some other decisions, I thought I would engrave a few parts trying to incorporate lessons learned on my last rifle.

Lock, side plate, and rear ram rod pipe using less overall engraving and more traditional designs.  Not there yet, but making forward progress.

You're too modest but that's ok !!! The work speak's of your effort and talent.... Do as well on the rest of your build and you will be a class A artist... (Hell, you are one now)......

Holy Ka-Moly!!!! With work like that, you don't need to take a backseat to anyone. Beautiful! Just beautiful!
