Yes capt William I forge the heads from steel stock,old plow springs, ball peen hammers,files,leaf springs,etc sort of recycle and hand make the hafts. Thanks for the compliments ,anvil
 
Man, I wish I had a forge and the knowhow to turn scrap steel into such works of art! Them hawks are nice,is the top one laminated/ damascus steel?

Yes,the top one is an old farrier's rasp and old horse shoes forge welded together and the second and third one are old ball peen hammers. anvil
 
Wow, those are beautiful! :bow: The "figure" (not sure if that's the right word?) in the metal of the first one is very striking - I like it!
 
I know nothing about 'hawks', but I know enough about skills and craftsmanship to be impressed by your skills in building those from scratch...outstanding!
