Hi Folks,

Can someone tell me the actual size of .58 caliber or 24 gauge Ox-Yoke Wonder Wad lubricated felt wads?

Thanks in advance

As you probably know, they compress, and theoretically, the tighter the fit the better the seal.

FWIW, based upon that, I've always used the next larger caliber size wad in a given caliber...ie: I use .62cal(.20ga) Oxyoke wads in my .58cal in the belief that it makes an even better seal, more lube, etc.

Just need to take an extra second to ensure they start into the muzzle flat rather then just dropping in like a caliber size wad would.

When I pick up oversize wads from the ground, the edges look like they have tiny gear teeth on them from being squeezed out into the grooves.

Thanks for the link Bob. I need cartridge wads at .545 to fit in my 58cal rimfire rifle.
