Thanks to all who kept me going and gave tips and suggestions. All the kind words kept me on task. Don’t want to build another one whew. I’m not saying this is the right way to build one, and it’s not perfect. But this is how I did it with my skill level resources and tools I had.Phil

wow I never thought about stamping it... i have metal numbers for stamping maybe around the muzzle face? I'm just going to treat it with Thompsons water seal and leave it natural I think. thank you for the support. this was at the very top end of skill level for me anyways,,, not going to push it !! thanks again

I believe he mentioned in the beginning that the barrel came from Hern.

He didn't make the barrel, he bought it. Not sure where he got it but most cannon barrel makers cast the barrel & then used a high strength steel liner for the bore. Google cannon barrels & you may find some specs.

I fabricated everything but the cap squares tube and wheels. Everything else I made. The screw is acme 3/4” 6 tpi handle is hickory. Drilled 1/4” hole through screw the drilled through the handles. J b weld All together
