I got a chance to visit Dixon's in PA over the weekend...what a place!!! Got a few things for future projects. You folks over there are really lucky that a place like that is close to you. It's an 8 hour drive for me! I do plan to go back.

Congratulations Blahman, We are fortunate to have Dixon's so close. I use Cabela's as an excuse to go to Dixon's. Check their web site for the exact dates of the gunmaker's fair in July. I went this past year for the first of many times. I hope you can make it back in July for the fair, it is worth the trip.

I copied the 2005 dates from their web site. Here they are.

Dixon's Gunmakers Fair
Friday July 29, Saturday July 30, & Sunday July 31 2005
9:00am - 5:00pm Daily

Dixon's is indeed the spot for finding what you need for this black powder hobby. And I know for a fact that there is a pretty nice left-handed rifle for sale there with a .45 cal. 42" Getz barrel, Siler lock, and a fine maple stock. It would make a great Christmas present, and it would help finance some old guy's caribou hunt with the .54 flinter.
