Sorry I couldn't post pics the first time. Just getting around to getting photobucket literate.

I hope I get it right. As time permits I hope to learn much about cleaning, loads, shooting, etc. from the resident experts on this site. I've been blackpowder hunting for quite a few years but this is my first smoothbore.

.62 cal, 44" barrel, v. nice maple, one year in the making from Scott Shea in central PA. Well, it's almosy 1am and I need to head for the bed for now. Be back as soon as time permits.

Regards,
Clayboy

Hi Clayboy!

This is a nice smoothie you have gotten. Especially the stock looks very nice. Hope you have fun with it. Smoothbores are the most versatile guns for ML hunting I know.

And then the fun begins....

Beautiful gun, I really like the wood and the detailing of the stock. Have you begun buying everything you need to shoot her?

Very nice. He has a table at Dixon's Fair each year, saw his work in person. He does one of the better aging jobs I have seen. Seems like he specializes in or prefers Pennsylvania style guns.

Well Done!

I really like the pineapple behind the tang.

Please don't cut that smoothie up with the saw

Best of luck with her, she's a beauty.

I saw this gun at Dixon's. Very pretty. I like the long trigger guard. I have two rifles built by Scott. Well pleased with both of them.

I normally think fowlers look better in Walnut.
This one has changed my mind.

Beautiful! :hatsoff:

Thanks for all the comments, guys. No, I haven't collected everything I need to shoot the gun yet. Although I have supplies for shooting rifled ML's, I don't have the gadgets or loading supplies for shotgunning yet. I hope to get time real soon to begin that journey. I'm excited to get this fine piece to the range and then the field. Look out turkeys

That is a very nice gun and a killer piece of wood, it will be a good companion for many years.
