Sorry I couldn't post pics the first time. Just getting around to getting photobucket literate.

I hope I get it right. As time permits I hope to learn much about cleaning, loads, shooting, etc. from the resident experts on this site. I've been blackpowder hunting for quite a few years but this is my first smoothbore.

.62 cal, 44" barrel, v. nice maple, one year in the making from Scott Shea in central PA. Well, it's almosy 1am and I need to head for the bed for now. Be back as soon as time permits.

Hi Clayboy!

This is a nice smoothie you have gotten. Especially the stock looks very nice. Hope you have fun with it. Smoothbores are the most versatile guns for ML hunting I know.

Very nice. He has a table at Dixon's Fair each year, saw his work in person. He does one of the better aging jobs I have seen. Seems like he specializes in or prefers Pennsylvania style guns.

Thanks for all the comments, guys. No, I haven't collected everything I need to shoot the gun yet. Although I have supplies for shooting rifled ML's, I don't have the gadgets or loading supplies for shotgunning yet. I hope to get time real soon to begin that journey. I'm excited to get this fine piece to the range and then the field. Look out turkeys :grin:
