I was just wondering if there are any smokepole shooters in eastern Wyoming. I live on the Nebraska east of Lusk, Wyoming and haven't had much luck in finding any fellow shooters. I wouldn't mind joining a brigade if they was close enough. Of course in Wyoming a 100 miles is considered close. Sure would like to hear from others in my neck of the woods.

Thank You, I will have to get in touch. Have a great shoot this fall. If you ever get out this way your always welcome at our camp fire. Keep your powder dry.

I lived in Glenrock then Douglas back in the early 80's,, was out there 5yrs,, came back here for Christmas season an family one year an got stuck.
I plan my retirement back there, Lord willing.
Gotta get out of this "blue" state!!

I fully understand your feelings. I left Wy. and moved to OK., just wasn't happy till I was back in Wy.

I went to the Rondy at Chadron, had a real good time, and learned alot watching the shoot. Those Flinters are pretty neat, But I still don't think I could shoot one. Powder is to close to my eye.

Don't sell yourself short. If you are busy looking at the front sight like you should be, you don't notice the flash going off at all. At least that's how it's been for me. I just started shooting flintlocks and now I'm hooked. Every time the gun went off the only flash I noticed was out the end of the barrel.

 YEP! Get some safety glasses if it makes you feel better. Think hard on your shot, like it is the deer of a lifetime or what have you. If you can take your mind off it, you won't mind it at all

IMHO the one of best way to get in touch with other SHOOTERS is to contact the NMLRA field rep for Wy. They will know a bout the club's in the area. I do not know how to get in touch with roondy clubs short of word of mouth. Good luck.

Thank All you folks for taking the time to reply. I'll do my best to get in touch with fellow shooters in my area. Again all I can say is Thanks. It seems BP shooters are a Great bunch.
