A scratch built fowler is on my short list.
Yep it has cast off shoulders very nicely.Nice job. Curious about tang on trigger guard behind the bow. Seems to be bent to accomodate cast off for right hand shooter. Does the stock have cast off? Also looks tweaked from image of underside.

I started this build in June of 2021 after I picked up my Kit from Jim and Barbie at the NMLRA nationals in Friendship IN. It has been a great experience and I have learned so many new skills during this project. I owe a lot to my friend and mentor Jeff Talbert. I visited his shop on many occasions where he taught me everything from inletting to carving. Dave Person has also been a great resource with his extensive knowledge of these early smoothbore fowlers.

Finished with two coats of Iron Nitrate, one coat of Laurel Mountain Forge Honey Maple, Jim Chambers gunstock oil.
The iron has been French Greyed with Jax Brass Black.
I made this powder horn for this gun. The bag was made by Dennis Massie.
