Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Nope, never carded the parts. After I stopped the solution from rusting further (baking soda), I used a fine wire brush on my drill press and hit everything real good. Went over everything with steel wool, inspecting it good then hit it with baking soda again. Got my torch out and chased the moisture out of the metal heating it just enough for my bear grease mix to melt when I lathered everything with it. Let it sit for a night then I wiped the heaviest of it off.
Thanks again,I'm finishing a Jackie Brown in the white smoothie right now and really like what you did.Hope you don't mind if I try to copy it :hatsoff:
Absolutely! I have a big coffee can of the bear grease I use to coat and protect my metal parts, your welcome to a small bit of it if you want, just send me a pt or email with an address.
