Trying my hand at leather work. I put in a gusset for extra room. I've done a flint wallet too and started on another bag. Constructive criticism and suggestions always appreciated.

Tim, Nice! That will go beautifully with your Southern Mountain rifle and I really like the color. As far as critque maybe on your next one instead of cutting the leather straight across the top on the front panel cut a little dip as it makes it a little easier to access with your hand.Great job and it looks like you've been busy.

Well thats just horrible.... better leave it here next time your over...

(good work )

Excellent job.

Did you color the leather?

Thanks Claude. I used Fiebings. 2 parts medium brown, 1 part cordovan.
I was trying for just a little antique look.

Thanks everybody for the comments and help. That one pic really made the bag look crooked which it is not. Here's a better pic.

Very nice definatly better than my first attempt, as DavidG said I would trim the top of the front panel or as I have done on the last ones roll the top edge inside just enough to stitch across the top, the rolled edge helps stiffen the top and gives a nice smooth opening the only other thing I can recomend is to stitch welts into the seams they give a finished look and strengthen the seam by protecting your stitching.
