After several months of practicing with my .32 Crockett, I finally got the chance to go hunting yesterday morning. After about 3 hours of seeing nothing at all, I noticed some cottontails on a road next to a grain sorghum field. I snuck up to about 50 yards, and saw that there were two of them. I took aim and shot at the first one, and as soon as the smoke cleared, I knew I had gotten him. But I didn't see the other one run away. As I approached, I saw that there were two dead rabbits there - the bullet had passed through the first and killed the other one too! This is the first time I had fired this gun at anything other than paper. Very encouraging first time out...

Just be careful you don't do that come deer season. :what:
" Jeb you got a tag don'tcha?"

Two rabbits on the first ever hunting shot fired? I think you've got to come up with a special name for that gun!

Dang that is some fine shooting. Them roundballs aren't THAT expensive that you have to conserve them are they?

Congrats again on your hunt and shooting.

Way to go! Them little lead balls do a good job. You may not have to conserve them but now you have to name that gun "Kills two" Or "two killer" or something along that line.

New ID = "Dances With Rabbits"
:redthumb:

Yeah - I've been thinkin' hard about a proper name for her (bunny gunny? rabbit habit? hare splitter?).

I just wish I could say I did it on purpose.
