Congrats brother. Nice deer and rifle.
Been hearing that all my life, lol. Dan.Nicely done Jack on the gun and the deer!
My uncle always told me "the deer down in WV had two legs shorter than the other so they could run around the hills easier" - any truth to that?!
Yes sirLove a good flintlock kill! Congrats! .50 cal?
I've hunted the forest a few times now. Definitely some steep stuffCongratulations! It’s been a long time since I hunted in WV. I never got a buck . But got a doe 3 years in a row during the archery season. That was before I go into muzzle loading. Where I hunted in Hardy County, (George Washington National Forest) you either go up hill or down hill.
Definitely plenty. Tried loads from 60-80 grains and 70 seemed to shoot the best70 grains is a plenty. Backstraps and Eggs for breakfast , Rite on.
