Long time since I've been here. This my first squirrel with my Pedersoli Bess, a retirement gift from my wife this year. (70g 2f, 80g #6 shot, paper shot cup)

Very nice! Is that the full length Bess or carbine? Nice gift. I got a Bess carbine this last fall as a wife endorsed self-gifted birthday present. Sounds like we both did well in the spouse department. I'm planning to take mine out after grouse, as our scrawny red squirrels would probably be outweighed by the shot fired at them. The Bess probably won't improve on my previous lousy grouse hunting results with a modern gun but I'll feel a lot cooler walking around in the woods with it..

Way to go! I use my .72 for squirrel loaded with shot as well, I do a square load of 60 and it works great! Glad your having fun shootin the tree rats
