We have tons of it here to, It's hard to knap but I've seen some slab it with a diamond saw then
knap it, sparks great.
Some yrs. ago when they were a little cheaper I bought 12 doz. black english flints from Track.
I'm set for a long time yet.
RB, I don't understand what anyone could have said that would cause your check to be returned.
He was getting the price he asked for that amount,
wasn't he?

That's why I posted the warning...there's a "fellow muzzleloader" operating behind the scenes.

Yes, in every case Tom Fuller received a special US Official Bank Cheque from me in US dollars per his request...once I received the flints, I would count, repack, address, and priority mail the flints to our fellow muzzleloaders simply passing on the price + S&H.

No small task when you consider 1000 flints arrive in 4 large 250 count bags...I would pour them out onto a carpeted workbench, and individusally sort them so there was an even distribution of flat-tops and hump-backs in each persons order, so no one person accidentally ended up with a disproportionate amount of hump-backs, etc.

Ah, but if that person is not only a muzzleloader shooter, but a whale watcher too, then they may want the hump-backs...

we have a native rock here called chirt (some call it flint but it is not) often found in creek and river bottoms it sparks well and my father knaps arrow head out of it so it should suit you if you can find any :hmm:

I believe that a group buy of flints from Tom Fuller was nixt on another forum a little while back. Seems some folks just enjoy pi$$ing in everyone's ice cream.

Regards, Dave

So if I get together with a few buddies and buy a case of Black powder how is that any different? Or is that a no no too? Just don't understand some folks. :nono:

Oh really?

Shall I send them back to that nice fellow who was kind enough to send them to me?
