Friend killed a black bear with a 54 flint and I shot one with a 54 Sharps percussion carbine.

Both one shot kills. Some years ago now though.
Need to find one I could use some bear oil. But the G. bears are getting more numerous and this can be hard on the BB population sometimes.
Be easier if we could bait here.

Several of my guns have harvested bear, I can't say I was on the trigger.

I took my first black bear about four years ago using a .54 T/C Renegade flintlock. The load was a patched round ball pushed by 80 gr of FFg Goex. One shot was all it took & the bear only went about 20 yds before rolling another 20 down a steep hill.
