I don't have professional made Black Powder, so my priming Powder always burned a bit slow.
But with Flash powder it works VERY fast 😁
I think it shoud work in flintlocks too.
 
My flints came from several sources including TOW, Rich Pierce and others. Occasionally one will be a dud with few shots in it but another will keep going until you're not able to keep count of the shots it gives. A longrifle doesn't look like a longrifle unless it is a flintlock.
