Yes, this gun has been lightly restoration cosmetic clean the only thing if you look carefully is the frizzen or steel which has been sole fitted

Impressive, wonderful collection. Lucky they've found a good home where they are cared for properly. I mean how many times have we seen photos of old guns "the kids used to play with" that otherwise might have survived in decent condition.

The bottom one is by Manton with a 30-inch barrels and is a 20 bore, the locks are in good working the stock is walnut with crisp checkering 20 lines to the inch.

Does pics 1 and 3, plus 2 and 4 depict the same guns?

Also, does the styling on the gun in the last pic go back further than 1780?

Wow. Again my reconstructed eyeballs failed me. Grin.

Though I very much admire the doubles you posted, I have a special thing for single barrel sporting guns.

I would love to find a flintlock sxs in 12 or 20 gauge to hunt with that I wouldn't have to sell both kidneys to buy. I've heard good things about the one Pedersoli makes but they are as hard to come by as any other. Feltwad, that is a fine looking collection!
