Shot one of my .50,s today with the 6/1 ballistol/water patches. As with the .32 i shot some very small groups. But, i encountered very bad powder fouling with the .50,that i didnt experience with the .32 a few days ago. I loaded it the same technique, i dry swabbed the bore in between shots, and the powder fouling would come up out of the barrel as green powder! Real dusty looking instead of damp.Today was a low humidity/sunny day,and that might have contributed to the hard dry fouling. Will have to try it again,to see if the extra accuracy is worth the trouble in this gun. I KNOW i will be using the dry ballistol patches in my .32,in the future.

On very dry days you should try the patches damp with lube.

I keep several differently lubed patches in my shooting box in case I need to change up due to weather conditions.

I use pre-cut .22 cal cleaning patches damp with spit. the patches are all the same size and clean,sizeing/chemical free consistant material. I just pop one in my mouth, saturate, press it with my tounge just the same each time and ; Viola',,instant consistant swab.
