while I'm takeing up sp0ace however I'd like to point out the ways and means of salt acquisition and distribution.
it was hauled `100s of miles from springs/deposits largely by captured game animals that had been 'fixed' and broken to halter to pull a sled loaded with trade goods.
a very important commodity.
