Sorry folks that I haven't chimed back in as I've been out of touch.
First the fees for the luxurious Frontier Heritage are $40 per night. They have what they call a "first dibs" rule that will allow you to keep the same site from shoot to shoot as long as you pay up front for the entire 9 days each for both the spring and fall events. We usually come up a day early so we pay a total of $800 for 20 nights. This reservation fee is non-refundable. As a matter of fact, last September just prior to the shoot my wife broke her leg and we couldn't attend.....$400 down the tube.
It seems to me that all the burden is place entirely upon member and very little on the organization. I've been camping for many years at various campgrounds in numerous states and have never seen such an agreement. On top of that this was just now pitched in our laps with no prior warning that I can recall. Full reservations need to be in by the end of this month, so we don't have much time.
I'm going to try to attach pics of the six-page agreement. Pay attention to the Hazardous Substances clause on page 4. Is not black powder a hazardous substance....accordingly I can't have it on the campsite. On the same page I'm have to keep in force fire/casualty insurance as well as general liability insurance with no less than $300,000.
One other thing that bugs me in the campsite rules and regulations I'm required to unhook my camper from the sites electrical source when away from the camper.
I'd could go on but I'll just let this dog rest. Sorry
