Fort Mims is having their Reenactment this weekend, Sat. and Sun. Might just have to go to get out of the house, might run into something I need, Like a couple of 3 grain priming valves for a priming horn or two I plan on.

Thought I mite go but after seeing the forcast for this weekend down in the gulf I decided to stay home, mite go to FT. Toluse in Montgomery in Nov. meet ya half way.

I just got back from Fort Mims, Ran into a guy named Walter Mabry, ended up buying 3 nice white horns from him to make some powder horns out of, and do some scrimshawing on. He had some finished horns that were just out of this sight and waay out of my price range :shocked2: . He was the only person selling anything worth while :( .

I was there too. The re-enactment was very good and well done. But there were very few black powder equipment vendors. The lack of those type of vendors was a little disappointing.

I think it would be better if you didn't have to drive through the Red-Neck trailerpark, a-la "fish camp" to get there, :shake: :td: I bet that it drives a lot of people away.

Yes, that was rather surprising. Driving on the road with all the trailers, make the curve and BAM, you are there.
