Mika, do you have any accoutrements like: bag,horn,priming horn and powder measure in a rig ready to shoot? I think the accoutrements are the bigger problem besides finding a gun for you to shoot. I will have with me several guns:
65 cal antique jaeger rifle which I plan to shoot myself, I can bring a 62 cal jaeger rifle with about 12.5" LOP (which is short) and I have to check the ramrod for legality, I will bring a .50 cal "Pedersoli-Lancaster conversion with 12.5" LOP) and I have to see if I can bring a .54 cal Jaeger rifle with 13.25 LOP. These guns would be "legal" for the Defense of Fort Greenville Shooting match. I will also bring a .50 cal Sharon Hawken in Percussion, which SILEX may use for the woodswalk on Sunday morning.I think there will be powder aplenty, the only problem I see are in the accoutrements or if you're unusually tall and can't handle shorter pulls. But another member may chime in, who knows :idunno:

No, I have no such things, I have considered buying both the bag and priming horns if there are for sale, including other things from that time. I am also interested in buying old guns. I am 6.2 feet tall. /Mika

Seriously, I hope to make it and see many of the Forum members. I camped last year in the primitive area, but don't think I will have the time this year. I will probably make a 1 day pilgrimage.

Mika, that will take my smokepoles pretty much out of the equation. You will require a longer "standard" LOP. One of my buddies is 6' and he can not shoot my guns,too short of a LOP. But I am only 5'-5".

Mika, there usually is a myriad of guns around. Like I said,finding a gun is probably easier than the accoutrements. But the guys and gals at the primitive camp usually have lots of stuff around...

I wish I could come but Annual Training is going on so I'll have to wait for another time to go. I was hoping to get down there if only to visit if didnt get chance to burn powder. Oh well there is always next year. Those of you that are going have a good time, be safe. :thumbsup:

I'll be making my appearance in 'normal' attire. My rifle hasn't arrived yet, so I won't be doing any shooting on the primitive range this time around.
