I recently bought one of Kibler’s fowler kits and am going to need the appropriate powder horn to pair with it!

I am curious about what styles would have been popular for mid-late 18th century use with a mod-grade imported English fowler? Thanks and take care all!

@Smokey Plainsman, I would be looking for a plain, thin, light colored horn that holds about 1/3 to 1/2 pounds of powder. That's good enough for up to 30 shots in a 20 gauge gun. Being thin walled and light colored, the powder level can be checked holding the horn to strong light. Should be more than enough powder for a day's hunt of upland birds. Base the size of the horn on the number of shots that you might expect to take plus a couple.

The top middle is my fowler setup. Top horn has shot in it and screw off 70 grain shot measure
Bottom horn for powder

Thank you, sir!
