Can anybody give me some info or their thoughts concerning Fox Ridge Outfitters? I am considering their .58 cal Renegade, so any opinions or information on the gun would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

Fox Ride is actually TC Arms...TC originally set it up as their "custom shop" but it now carries the items that TC still makes but doesn't carry in their mainline catalog.

I've dealt with Fox Ridge several times, ordering TC 1:66" round ball flint barrels from them in .45/.50/.54cals for my TC Hawkens...you can't go wrong using Fox Ridge because it's really TC. (Fox Ridge phone = 1-800-243-4570) You can go to TC's web site and jump to Fox Ridge, or just go to the Fox Ridge site.

I can not help you on fox ridge outfitters but I do have a renegade rifle and like it. I have a fifty cal. and it shoots like my TC Hawken, it just does not have all the frills though. I like them both and are good quality rifles. :m2c:

Thanks for the quick response. It's a T/C Renegade that I'm looking for and this seems to be the only place to get the options I want.

I am getting on in years...however...unless this is some new addition to their product line, who ever it was at TC that told you that is wrong...TC does not make a ".50cal Hawken barrel in 1" size".

All .45/.50cal Hawken barrels are 15/16" and fit the standard size Hawken stock with it's 15/16" barrel bed;

All .54/.58cal Hawken barrels are 1" and fit the large size Hawken stock with it's 1" barrel bed.

All Renegades have a 1" barrel bed and use only 1" barrels...TC makes .50/.54/.58cal Renegade barrels for the Renegade...and THAT 1" .50cal Renegade barrel will reverse fit onto the large Hawken stock with it's 1" barrel bed for the 1" .54/.58 Hawkens.

But a 15/16" .50cal Hawken barrel will not fit the Renegade's 1" barrel bed or 1" tang.

They certainly should...the 1" .58cal barrel has been available in both cap and flint...
