I was following this discussion on the Charleville kit and a book was mentioned. However it ain't cheap. :( While I don't mind spending $$ on a quality book. $500 or so is a bit much. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good book that would cover this subject? Something that would include Cavalry/Dragoon etc carbines also? I am trying to get a handle of French small arms of the Napoleonic era back to the F&I war.

Thanks!

George Moller's "American Military Shoulder Arms, Volume I" would probably be of interest. There aren't a whole lot of closeup photos for build reference though.
