I plan on going both times with my wife.We usualy go two times during the week so that she can visit the flea market at each end of town and I can wonder around whereever I want. It's about 180 miles round trip from my house.

I try to hit both. Don't shoot much, just up there looking for supplies and enjoy looking at the handi-work of the gunmakers who land there.

I go every spring match & spend a day or two. Have done it for years & meet up with friends from Ohio there. Sometimes go to the fall event also. I don't shoot in the matches, I go to visit people, see the new guns in the Gunmakers Hall, get parts & etc. Also give me a nice 2-3 day break from work.

I've been going for over 30 years. I shoot mostly on the primitive side but I do like the new woods walk and silly-wets on the other side of the road.
If you are into muzzle loading Friendship is ground zero, Top notch gunbuilders, Great Friends, supplies and great shooting matches.
Just can't get no better!!

:hatsoff:

I go down a couple days each shoot, mostly to visit with friends and buy powder and parts from the venders.
