Welcome fellow Texan from Hutto, Texas, home of the Hippos. Can't say I have such a colorful pedigree as my roots are like Heinz; 57 varieties. This is the forum to learn from.

My family started in Virginia in the 1600s came through Biloxi and were in Spanish LA before coming to Texas. Great great grandfather was the last living Civil War vet to die in Newton County at 95. My family were English living in a french/spanish culture and I am wanting to learn more about what firearms they may have had access to. My goal is to begin flintlock hunting in the Big Thicket.
Welcome from Katy.
