Till they get the bugs worked out of that time machine thingy this is one of those things that we can only decide based on our own experince in the woods. As I said I carry two knifes and none of my knifes are the best examples of hc/pc for my time and place. The argument that multi knifes were carred makes a lot of sense, paintings from the time often show one. We know some big knifes were used, but lots and lots of 'scalpers'were being sent west. Think hard,roll your dice make your impression and ask Boone when you meet him in heaven...I'll no doubt be asking Fink :wink:
