OK, I will get a range rod. I looked at them today. They are around $25. Is the brass rod the one to go with?

I would suggest that your range rod have a T handle for a sure grip as well. You can't go wrong with solid brass.

A good capper is nice to have, beats trying to hold the can and not dropping it! The fun part of ML'n is you can make a lot of you're won stuff, I make my own range rods out of brass stock from Lowes. ML's are fun to shoot, you might also find young person, and let them shoot one and get them interested.
