I was given 4 new cans of goex powder the other day. 1 fffg and 3 cartridge . My question is can I use this cartridge powder in my 54cal rifle or my 45 cal cap and ball revolver. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I've used ctg powder in my 54 falling block paper catrtidge sharps, with good effect. Let us know how it turns out.

Cartridge is basically repackaged FFG.

I ran out of FFg and have a case of Cartridge. Works fine in .54 Jaeger, and cap and ball revolvers.

I had some I wanted to use up. Worked ok in my Lyman 50 cal gpr. Shot decent groups at 25 & 50 yds. Did not try it beyond that.

I believe goex cartridge is goex FFG that has undergone an extra sifting process. It should be fine.
