Not much details. It doesnt state if this is the main BP production facility...it sounds like from a couple other articles they make 2ndray munitions products there.....No one injured

something wrong with this paragraph.
"A state of emergency was declared 10 years ago because of the massive deposit of military munitions illegally stored by Explo Systems at the Camp Minden military installation in Webster Parish in 2023."
seems journalism is dead and buried.

hope no one was hurt.

It seems all the real/expert manufacturers that make commercial blackpowder know how to blow their plants up on a regular basis…. Makes me wonder about the hobby crafter making their own blackpowder. Personally, my basement is already deep enough.
😆 I highly doubt the hobbyist is making it in the quantity that goex does in one shot. Besides, a small explosion as reported, is good news vs the last time goex blew up.

Unbelievable! Is this true? What?…does anyone know how to do things anymore??? I haven’t been able to get my hands on goex since pandemic, forget about it now I guess I ain’t never gonna get any more from them

Mass producing explosives is difficult. I would bet that in the old days these things happened much more frequently.

Yep, a few pounds of homemade blackpowder will do little more than singe a hobbyist’s eyebrows if anything goes wrong and it lights up in their lap, correct? Or maybe nothing more than a home vasectomy event?

Apparently nobody got hurt in this latest Goex blowup, a good thing in every sense. Interesting to see how the story develops.

Keep getting ‘show ignored content’ message. Wonder who it could be? Believe I only have two forum members on ignore, one for excessive ‘for sale’ posts that they constantly update, the other for just being obnoxious. I’m comfortable without knowing.

I work with explosives, poison gas, and various other scary stuff. Mostly at factories and other industrial sort of sites. I have seen a few accidents. In every case it caused by some employee that is too lazy to do their job or someone doing something they are not trained to do. I think in many ways the hobbyist is safer than the factory. The hobbyist is not likely to be making black powder at home with a hangover. The scary thing about the hobbyist is I think a lot of them are working with no training in working with explosives.

The grammatical errors are evidence our educational system is dead, pushing a political narrative, spin, and false propaganda are evidence that journalism is dead.
