I've heard of using gojo for cleaning puposes, anyone have their opinions on it? How do you use it and what (if any) complaints do you have about it? Any alternitive cleaning methods are welcome. Thanks ya'll! Watch yer top knot, rushcc.

I use it.. love it...works excellent! takes no time at all..does a great job..an really ain't all that expensive, easy to carry with ya..all I can say is, try it,,put some in the barrel and on a patch swab a few times, you can rinse the patch, few more swabs, add water, swab, rinse an dry.. done..I used about everything that's been mentioned on this forum..this works best, and fastest.. a really dirty gun might take a few more swabs..but it works..and all I've told that tried it,, loved it too ...throw a lil pill bottle full in yer shootin box, good to go.. cost ya about $2.50 to try,,think about how good it cleans yer hands..works fer me.. :hatsoff: oh, I use the white, original, not orange...too gritty I think,,

I have never tried it. Something about it being gritty is my only concern. Sorta on the lines of JB Bore cleaner. I've used that on my modern pistols barrels but only when they really dirty and load up on the copper. For my ML's I've use mainly rubbing alcohol 91% and really don't have any problems. The grit would be as I said my concern. Could use fine sand or salt just as well perhaps. :rotf:

You can use anything...the success is in the
rinse...I have tried them all and like them all.
But always rinse well no matter what use....

get the white colored gojo. not the pumice added which is orange. there's other brands of handcleaner Permatex makes it in a tube that's real handy.
I've used it for years it's real handy for revolvers when I'm camped out for awhile. lust rub some into a cloth and wipe the gun down, swab the bore, wipe the pin and relube, reassemble and reload. I used it for patch lube too works good.

I have been out of action due to hip replacement. But should be back up in three more weeks.I can lean over the computer now and hope to be back in the shop and shooting again in three weeks or so. :idunno: :idunno:

If you go through those same motions with soap and water you accomplish the same exact thing

well, having done it both ways........gojo is easier, faster, an "imo" works alot better.. no matter how you clean your gun,it'll work, this imo jus seems to be much faster..an does a better job..but to each their own...

Gojo works great to clean the white painted ladders on top of fire trucks also. Takes the grease right off around the hydraulic cylinders and turns it bright white. It will take grease off of your vehicle also.

also removes road tar specks and cleans leather seat covers.
don't use it on glass you'll use a quart of windex to remove the slick film.

I hope you get better soon! Thanks everyone!

Sounds worth trying at any rate. Even if it doesn't work you still got a good household cleaner.
