Just as bad are the ones that as soon as they open their pie hole you know they ain't gonna buy but they badger ya with questions & for pix of the bore, whats this or that how'd it get that scratch etc. Or maybe even worse is the "I bought one twice as good for half that price" crowd. Bully for you. So why are you botherin' me? And last but not least is the ones that offer up their items for sale to people who are asking about yours. Open your own ad.

Now there are too many extraneous comments in classifieds. In the past the only comments were from interested buyers asking specific questions. I can see why some sellers put withdrawn, they post an item to sell and the classified gets hi-jacked. Folks need to follow the rules.

Like the bible.....cut and paste and change it to read what you wanna hear. In NO WAY was this not to be taken in humor Fly. Guess the rest of my posts were not read or you just on the war path. Don't become one of them. Is this even the correct thread?

Now to be clear. I have had lots of really good dealings on this site, by and large. A hiccup here and there, and one psycho, but always resolved amicably. My PSA arose from three bad buyers in less than two weeks, but only one on here. There has been another on here, but not for over a year. The other two were a Gunbroker sale and another forum. The GB deal was particularly irksome. Very expensive rifle. Guy says, he will use BuyNow (more $ for me) and send a deposit in a week and pay off at end of month. No deposit. Always in mail soon. End of month nears and sorry, gotta back out. Financial difficulties. A quick look at buyer feedback and in the time since the "sale", the guy racked up two Fs for non paying bidder AND bought three expensive guns!!! With Gunbroker's new rules, I am on the hook for not only my fees, but the buyer's state sales tax. I will eventually get a credit for all of this, since I filed a non-paying bidder complaint, but I would rather have the cash back. SO I am in a foul mood. Only deal I have ever backed out of was on Gunbroker years ago. Made the buy and next day, wham! Car wreck. Emailed seller. Said I would pay any fees he was out, since I did not want that non-paying bidder tag hanging over my head. Seller gets to relist without losing money and I am only out a fraction. Still stings in my mind a little.
I have bought only one muzzleloader on this site and it was from you - excellent transaction and firearm! As a buyer it was easy to photograph the money order made out to you and email photo - requiring a buyer to do this should eliminate or reduce time lost to non-payers.

Thay makes perfect sense to me. Send a PM to Angie and Loyalist Dave and see what they say, can't hurt at all.

Do you want me to post your very profanity laden PM you sent me so everyone can read it?

That's why it was private. Why not admit you screwed me by quoting ONE LINE from a post that made it look like I was an issue here? Quote it all..... Show folks that haven't read it what the flavor of my post to a new member REALLY was.

Why not? Huh?

Settle down, boys. Let's not turn this into a weenie waggin' match.

My last thought on my post is simple:

An "I'll take it" is just that. You are agreeing to take it by the terms as stated, not as a starting point for negotiations. Let's make this forum a model for others to follow.

Y'all have a great day.

Had a MZ for sale. Got one person interested that mentioned he wanted to see it "in person"? Location not too far away. Mentioned I would knock off the $$$ for shipping if we did FTF and I also mentioned the quoted price stated was the "selling price", in CASH and if he tried to get the price lowered, he woulds see my tail lights. Never heard another word from him. Getting too old to be playing games. ;)
And the "Withdrawn" thing? Probably from getting tired of getting jerked around from folks with no class. :(

Heh, well seeing as this thread hasn't been closed or simply removed altogether as it so richly deserves, how about what we need are some good sellers not dedicated to the premise that it takes a pillage?
Oh, it's inflation.
Oh, it's the free market.
Oh, it's just the replacement cost.
Oh bull.
