Guess it’s time to order some more lead.
I work at a gas station / mechanic's garage.... Working now in fact... And if I cared to work with wheel weights I could have all of the wheel weights my little heart desires.

I prefer the pure soft lead myself but if I fall on hard times there's always wheel weights.
 
I also came into buckets of WW - the old style - and used it mostly in the smoothbore but it also seemed to do well in rifles too.
I have used them in the 1858 in the past. They will work in a pinch though less than ideal. It probably didn't hurt since I had a 451 mold and the gun really calls for a 454
