Got my Woodsrunner today. The problem is that the box that Jim makes is stout. The post office I picked up from when asked what happened to the box just shrugged their shoulders and walked off. The side of the box that was glued and stapled was open with marks that appeared to have been pried open. The box had packing tape around to kind of hold it together. Has anyone else had a similar experience. If you want to chastise me for accepting, don't start cause I just had a long drive and real tired. Just checking if anyone else experienced this.

Get the names of all the principal players at your post office.

Write a letter to the postmaster general explaining that some nosey USPS scumbag POS pried open your crate with no valid reason.

Explain that the people at your post office didn't give a single runny cr ap about invading your privacy or a damaged product.

Send pics with the letter. A real letter. On real paper. With real pictures. Make the USPS PG sign for it. It holds more weight that way.

Explain in your letter that we have this thing called the Second Amendment and the USPS doesn't have to like it and must instead deal with it.

I am pondering one other issue. The box was mailed Monday and my tracking said Friday which is reasonable. I live in south Texas and it arrived at 2:11 am in San Antonio's regional center today. That's odd to say the least.

Didn't see any damage but the small parts not sure yet. So upset I haven't inventoried yet. Ate supper smoked cabbage with bacon and sausage then to the task at hand.

I’ll bet everything is in good shape. He makes a really durable shipping box and really secured everything tight. He even glued the box holding the small parts to the box. I asked for some scrap wood to practice my finish on and they were in a box, the box glued to the floor of the crate!!

My woodsrunner is in route, so this has my attention. Is the box marked in any way to indicate there could be a firearm inside? Wonder if some "gooberment" inspector opened it to try to catch someone shipping something they shouldn't? Receiving my shipment like that would pi** me off into another zip code.
Sure hope you get answers and an apology, at the very least.

I have checked it out and all appears in tack but a pen mark on the stock, strange.

Ink mark on stock. I think someone inspected trying to find a crime. Also used card to finish payment to Kibler Longrifles. Just processing.

No point in contacting the Post Office chain of command. There's not a one of them that will give a damn. My Kibler arrived in good shape. What I don't remember is his address that he had on the box. These days any outfit shipping anything gun related better not put anything related to guns on their return address.

His name is all and marked fragile. I agree not much use but still upsetting.

My Woodsrunner arrived today with no issues. Arrived a day earlier than tracking predicted so all is well. My Colonial kit last year had some impact damage to the crate but nothing inside had any problems.

Shipping anything these days is a crap shoot.

My Colonial arrived with one end of the box smashed in. It was interesting to see the way the box acted like a "crumple zone": the box was damaged, the contents were fine due to the way the components were packaged and fixed in place.
